What is happening with the Hotlink Red Points Program?
A customer who has downloaded the Hotlink RED app gets Red Points when he/she purchases a *Data Pass on FAST Plan. With the Red Points accumulated, once a customer hits a level, the customer unlocks rewards and stands a chance to win cool prizes.
When is the campaign period?
The Red Points Campaign starts on 1st June 00:00 and ends on 30th July 23:59. Red Points accumulated will only be valid during the campaign period. Customers will be given a buffer period of 1 day until 31st July 23:59 to claim the reward.
I am not a Hotlink customer; will I still be eligible to participate in the contest?
No, you must be a Hotlink customer with the Hotlink RED APP on the FAST plan to participate in the campaign.
How does it work?
With accumulated Red Points, customers can unlock reward as they hit a level. Once the reward is unlocked, customer will have to claim the unlocked reward before it expires. As he/she advances to the 3rd level, he will again unlock reward and in addition will get to spin the Hotlink wheel of fortune called “STAR” where they stand a chance to win BIG prizes.
So how do I participate?
a) Make sure you have downloaded the Hotlink RED app.
b) Purchase any weekly/monthly/add-on data pass on FAST plan on the Hotlink RED app or via UMB and receive Red Points once the purchase has been successfully transacted.
c) You will be able to see your Red Points earned and your progress on the “STAR” section of the Hotlink RED app.
d) You will get to unlock rewards as you hit levels with the Red Points accumulated. You must claim the unlocked reward before the expiry for claim. Swipe right on the “Rewards” screen to find the page and tap on the bubble to claim your reward.
e) As you progress through and reach the final level, in addition you will receive a chance to spin the hotlink wheel of fortune, the STAR.
f) You will win a prize each time you spin the wheel. Prizes vary and are determined by the system.
Through which channel must the purchase be done from?
The purchase can be done from any channel but the user must have downloaded and validated the Hotlink RED app prior to purchase.
How are Red Points being awarded?
Red Points are 1 ringgit for 1 Red Point. Red Points will be awarded when the purchases of Fast Internet Passes on Fast Plan is successfully transacted.
‘*Points are only given to weekly, monthly and add-on passes. Points will not be awarded to daily passes.
When can I accumulate points?
You can accumulate point during the campaign period from 1st June to 30th July 2017.
What happens when my Red Points reach maximum and I buy another pass?
Your additional Red Points will be forwarded to the next cycle. This is only applicable when you are within the same campaign period.
When do I get my Red Points?
For purchases via the Hotlink RED app, once your purchase is successful and the app acknowledges it. For purchases from other channels, there will be a lag of 24 hours for your Red Points to be updated.
How many cycles can I do in a campaign?
There is no maximum number. You can go through as many cycles as you can to get rewards with your Fast internet purchase.
When do I get to spin the wheel?
You’ll be able to spin the wheel when you hit 90 Red Points on the accumulator.
Is there a maximum chance to spin the wheel?
No. You will be entitled a chance every time you hit 90 Red Points.
What kind of rewards can I win?
Rewards to be unlocked upon reaching level :
- Data pass
- Level 1: 250MB valid 3 days or
- Level 2: 550MB valid 3 days or
- Level 3: 1.2GB valid 3 days

How do I unlock my reward?
You will unlock you reward as you hit your levels. For the last level, you hit a prize when you spin the wheel.
Which items will I unlock when I hit the levels?
30 Pts (1st Level): 250MB data
60 Pts (2nd Level): 550MB data
90 Pts (3rd Level): 1.2GB data & a chance to spin the wheel to win STAR prize.
How to claim my reward?
i. Click on the Rewards Page.
ii. If you have gone through more than one cycle, swipe right to find your level. Click on the unlocked icon to claim your reward.
iii. Make sure you claim before the claim expiry.
How do I claim my data passes?
Once the data pass reward is unlocked, it can be claimed. Clicked on the unlock reward icon and the data pass will be claimed and given to you at the point of claim.
How will I know the unclaimed expiry?
Unclaimed expiry is shown on the pop up when you click on the reward icon.
How do I see the description of the reward and the expiry?
Click on the reward icon and you can see the description of the reward, the claim expiry and the status of the reward.
What happens if I don’t claim by the expiry of the unlocked icon?
The item(s) cannot be claimed anymore.
Is there a maximum item to claim?
No. You can claim as many unlocked items as you want.
What are STAR prizes?
STAR Prize(s) are won by spinning the wheel.
How will I be notified when I win the STAR prizes?
After spinning the wheel, you will immediately receive a congratulatory message with the details of the prize you have won along with a claim button. Once you claim your reward, you will see your barcode and you will have to redeem your prize within the redemption period. For higher tier rewards, Hotlink will contact you and check your eligibility and other details prior to couriering the reward to you.
Does the chance to spin the wheel “STAR” have an expiry date?
Yes. All chance to spin has a validity of 3 days before expiry or when the campaign period expires, whichever comes first.
How do I redeem my reward?
Once you have claimed your reward, it will be listed under “Rewards” page in Hotlink RED app. Click on the reward you want to redeem and the status of the reward will be stated with the barcode and redemption expiry date. For the different types of rewards, there are different ways of redemption:
a) E-vouchers: Click on the merchant’s website link as provided on the reward page. Input the barcode at the checkout promo code field for redemption.
b) Merchant Retailers: Present the barcode to the merchant and get them to click on the “redeem” button. Barcode can only be used once, if it shows “redeemed” on screen, customer cannot redeem again even if customer accidentally presses the redeem button.
c) Couriered rewards: Hotlink’s Customer Service agent will call you and you must provide the barcode number to the CS agent. After verification has been done, you need to provide your address details and the reward will be sent over to you.
How do I find out my barcode validity?
You barcode validity will be shown together with your barcode. You can find your claimed reward barcode at “my claims” page.
What if I close my congratulations page? How do I retrace my reward? ( claim and no claim)
It will be in your “Rewards” page.
What happens when the campaign ends?
All points will be refreshed to zero and all unclaimed reward will expire.
What happens to my unlocked and unclaimed reward?
They will not be available for use.
What happens to my claim but unredeemed reward after campaign period?
Claim and unredeemed reward have a valid period until the use by date stated on each individual barcode. Make sure to redeem your barcode from the retailer.
Will I see my claimed items after the campaign ends?
Yes. Your claimed items will still be in the “my claims” section.

You can check out the prizes from the Campaign page. Click on the carousel banner and it will lead you to the campaign page.
How do I find out more about the next campaign?
The carousel banner on the Hotlink RED app will feature the next campaign nearer to the launch date of the new campaign.
