These plans are open to all consumers. It is applicable to port-ins, pre-to-post migration and new registrations.
Are there any limitations to the unlimited calls and SMS?
No, there are no limits to the unlimited calls and SMS. However, customers will be subjected to Maxis’ Fair Usage Policy and we reserve the rights to interrupt, bar, suspend or restrict the service if the customer’s usage appears unusual. Please refer to the rate plan’s Terms & Conditions for further details.
The Plan(s)’s unlimited calls and SMS are applicable to which types of call and SMS usage?
It is applicable to domestic mobile/fixed ON-net & OFF-net usage (excluding video calls, calls to chargeable 1-300/1700/600 numbers and calls to TM100 and 121 numbers).
Can I use the unlimited calls and SMS and pre-allocated mobile Internet quota while I roam?
No, you cannot. Unlimited calls, SMS and pre-packaged mobile Internet allocation are applicable for domestic use only.
If the monthly allocation is not fully utilised, will it be carried forward?
No, the free allocations (calls, SMS & Internet) cannot be carried forward. It will be automatically forfeited upon completion of your bill cycle.
Can I upgrade my quota in the event my pre-allocated mobile Internet quota depletes before the end of my bill cycle?
Yes, you can purchase exclusive Hotlink Postpaid plan mobile Internet passes via UMB menu (*100#) or via the Hotlink Flex App (https://www.hotlink.com.my/e).

Can I change my rate plan after I have subscribed to Hotlink Postpaid Flex?
Yes, you can change or upgrade to any other Maxis Postpaid Plans.
If I subscribe to Hotlink Postpaid Flex in the middle of my bill cycle date, will my monthly commitment fee, allocated calls, SMS and Internet be pro-rated?
The monthly commitment fee will be pro-rated and you will not be charged the full commitment fee for the first month. You will be charged the full commitment fee from the second month onwards. However, you will be given the full data allocation from the first month. Calls and SMS are unlimited.
Add-ons purchased (i.e 4GB @ RM10) will be charged in full on the first month.
Is the advance payment refundable?
No, but advance payment will be offset against the first month’s invoice and any extra will be carried forward to the following month.
Will I get an SMS notification for my mobile Internet allocation usage?
When you hit 60% and 100% of your allocated mobile Internet usage, you will automatically receive an SMS informing you of your usage at that moment. SMS notification is near-real time.
If I sign up for Hotlink Postpaid Flex, am I entitled to a supplementary line?
No. There are no supplementary line plans for Hotlink Postpaid.
How do the Unlimited Bundles work?
For the respective Unlimited Bundle, any usage of the application will not be deducted from the base quota and will be drawn from the bundle (with a Fair Use Policy of 1TB within the bill cycle).
However, within the app itself, there are some third party sources (such as embedded YouTube videos, or external websites opened via app) which will count as normal data instead.
Can I tether the Unlimited Bundles to my laptop?
Yes, you may tether the Unlimited Bundles to other devices. However, there will be a speed cap of 5Mbps applied to the tethered data.
I’m converting my Hotlink prepaid number to Hotlink Postpaid Flex. I still have some credit balance in my prepaid account. What will happen to my credit balance once I have converted my plan to Hotlink Postpaid Flex?
When you move to Hotlink Postpaid, your credit balance will be credited into your new Hotlink Postpaid account, and you will see it reflected in your first bill.
I have RM50 credit balance in my Hotlink account. Can I use this balance to offset my Rate Plan Advance Payment?
You will still have to pay for the advance payment upon moving to Hotlink Postpaid. The advance payment and credit balance will be offset against the first month’s invoice and any extra will be carried forward to the following month.
What happens when I use up all my Internet quota?
Upon depletion of your quota, you can continue surfing WITHOUT ADDITIONAL CHARGES at reduced speeds. Alternatively, you may purchase additional mobile Internet passes via *100# or via the Hotlink Flex app at
I am currently subscribed to the 5GB @ RM25 auto-renew mobile Internet pass. What happened to it?
The mobile Internet pass has been removed for new and active. subscribers, but existing subscribers can continue to enjoy the pass as long as they remain subscribed.
If you decide to remove the pass, you can no longer subscribe to it.
Can I change from Hotlink Postpaid Flex to Hotlink Postpaid Flex Plus and vice versa?
Of course. Just call 123 or visit your nearest Maxis Centre listed at www.hotlink.com.my/postpaid to change.
However, if you have an existing contract on Hotlink Postpaid Flex Plus, you must terminate your contract and pay the penalty in order to move over to Hotlink Postpaid Flex.
What happens to my 4GB @ RM10 pass if I move to Hotlink Postpaid Flex Plus?
As the 4GB @ RM10 pass is not available for Hotlink Postpaid Flex Plus, it will be removed from your subscription when you switch to Hotlink Postpaid Flex Plus. However, you will still be charged for it for that billing cycle.
I have already finished the 4GB from my RM10 pass. Can I buy another RM10 4GB pass?
Each subscriber is allowed 1 of the same auto-renew pass only. Your quota will be refreshed upon your bill cycle.
You can, however, buy and stack as many one-time mobile Internet passes (except for non-recurring Unlimited Passes).
Can I still use the Unlimited Bundles when my normal Internet quota has depleted?
Yes, you may still use Unlimited Bundle when your normal quota hits 0.
However, within the app itself, there are some third party sources (such as embedded YouTube videos, or external websites opened via app) which will counts as normal quota and will load at throttled speeds.
Why did I suddenly get 4GB for my RM10 pass?
We have upgraded the RM10 pass from 3GB to 4GB at no additional cost. Existing subscribers to the RM10 will get a full 4GB quota during this upgrade, and will continue at 4GB @ RM10/month upon the next billing cycle.
