Service Specific Terms & Conditions – OKU RM10 Bill Rebate Postpaid plans (“SSTC”)

Version 8th April 2024

    1. Offer: RM10 monthly Bill rebate for “Orang Kurang Upaya” (OKU) / persons with disabilities upon signing up any Participating Plans as described in clause 3 below. 
    2. Offer Period: From 17th November 2021 until further notice which may be notified through Hotlink app and Maxis app and/or publication on Hotlink website and Maxis website. 
    3. You: Person(s) who are eligible to participate in this Offer. 
    4. Participating Plan(s) refers to any of the Maxis Participating Plan(s) and Hotlink Participating Plan(s).

    6. Hotlink Participating Plan(s): Hotlink Postpaid 30, 45, 60 or 70, which applicable terms and conditions are at https://www.hotlink.com.my/en/terms-conditions/products/postpaid/sstc/.
    7. The Offer is subjected to:
      1. the General Terms & Conditions for Hotlink Consumer at https://www.hotlink.com.my/en/terms-conditions/general/ (“Hotlink GTC”) any other applicable terms and conditions, all at https://www.hotlink.com.my/en/terms-conditions/hotlink/, if you sign up for Hotlink Participating Plan;
      2. the General Terms & Conditions of Service(s) – Maxis Consumer at https://www.maxis.com.my/en/terms-conditions/general/maxis-consumer/ (“Maxis GTC”) any other applicable terms and conditions, all at https://www.maxis.com.my/en/terms-conditions/, if you sign up for Maxis Participating Plan;
      3. this Service Specific Terms & Conditions – OKU RM10 Bill Rebate Postpaid plans (“SSTC”); and 
      4. Maxis Fair Usage Policy at https://www.maxis.com.my/en/terms-conditions/general/maxis-fair-usage-policy/ (“Maxis FUP”).
    8. Unless otherwise stated in this SSTC, all capitalised terms herein shall have the same meaning as defined in the applicable Hotlink GTC or Maxis GTC. 
    9. Any conflict or inconsistency between this SSTC, the applicable Hotlink GTC or Maxis GTC and Summary Terms and Conditions (“STC”), shall be construed in the following order of precedence: (a) SSTC; (b) the applicable Hotlink GTC or Maxis GTC; and (c) STC.
    10. We reserve the rights without liability, to revise this SSTC, the Offer, the amount of Bill rebate and our pricing. Where reasonably practicable, we will give you reasonable advance notice of such changes and all previous versions of our user guides or leaflets will be superseded. You accept you are responsible for regularly reviewing information on this Offer and Service(s) at https://www.hotlink.com.my/en/terms-conditions/products/postpaid/oku/ or https://www.maxis.com.my/en/terms-conditions/products-services/mobile/oku-rebate, as the case may be, including changes to the Agreement. Your continued use of the Service(s) and/or  Participating Plan (after the Effective Date of any revision/change to the terms and conditions of Services and/or the Participating Plan) shall constitute unconditional acceptance by you of such revisions/changes and you shall be bound by the same. If you do not accept such revisions/changes, you will terminate the Participating Plan and/or the use of the Services by giving us notice within 28 days from the Effective Date, failing which you are assumed to have accepted the changes.
    1. You must be at least 18 years old and have a valid OKU card issued by Jabatan Kebajikan Masyarakat under the Kementerian Pembangunan Wanita, Keluarga dan Masyarakat (KPWKM).
    2. You are ineligible for this Offer if you owe us any payments.
    3. This Offer is inapplicable to you if you are a commercial user and/or bulk subscriber.
    4. This Offer is only applicable and valid per one (1) OKU card issued by Jabatan Kebajikan Masyarakat and upon our verification at the time of your registration for the Participating Plan.
    1. This Offer provides eligible OKU customers a RM10 Bill rebate every month. The commencement of the rebate will be subject to your Bill cycle, which means the rebate may only be reflected in your Bill from second month onwards.

    3. By participating in this Offer and signing up for any of the Participating Plans, you accept and agree to be bound by the applicable terms and conditions as provided in clause 5 and clause 6 above.
    4. All benefits of Mobile Internet Package Allocation, international roaming, unlimited minutes and SMS shall follow each of the Participating Plan you subscribed.
    1. Subject to our GTC and this SSTC, if you are a principal line holder, you may at any time terminate the Offer by contacting Maxis through any of the following channels:
      1. by calling our customer care line at 1-800-82-1123 or dial 123 from your mobile; or
      2. by walking into our Maxis Centres listed on www.maxis.com.my.
    2. Please note that if any of the Participating Plan signed under this Offer is:
      1. cancelled, suspended and/or terminated by you or Maxis for any reason whatsoever; or
      2. you switch from the Participating Plan to a prepaid plan,
      this Offer will automatically be cancelled and you will no longer be entitled to enjoy the RM10 monthly Bill rebate.
    1. We reserve the right to alter, amend and/or discontinue the Offer under any of the Participating Plan(s) and/ or the monthly OKU rebate with reasonable prior notice. 
    2. We reserve the rights at any time, without being liable to you or any third party to interrupt, bar, suspend, restrict the Service(s) and/or Offer for such period of time as we deem fit or terminate, discontinue or disconnect the Service(s) and/or Offer if your usage:
      1. shows excessive usage or placing unusual burdens on our Network; 
      2. is for unlawful activities or for suspected fraudulent activities;
      3. is not in accordance with Maxis FUP at https://www.maxis.com.my/en/faq/products-services/fair-usage-policy/; and/or
      4. is for commercial/non-personal purposes.
    1. The Offer is not redeemable and not refundable/exchangeable for cash. 
    2. Only one (1) Offer is valid and given to each MSISDN on new activation of the Participating Maxis Plan. 
    3. Maxis reserves the right to forfeit the Offer if our attempt to fulfil the Offer to you fails for any reason whatsoever.
    4. Maxis’ decision on who are eligible and entitled to the Offer shall be final and conclusive and Maxis shall entertain no correspondence, complaint, or appeal at any time during or after the Offer Period. 
    5. Maxis shall not be liable to you or any other party for any loss or damage of whatsoever nature suffered by a participant or such other party as a result of participation or non-participation in the Offer or as a result of any act or omission on Maxis’ part. 
    6. The terms and conditions stated herein shall be governed by the Laws of Malaysia and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia.
