  • Effective 18-Jan 2024, the new Hotlink Postpaid plans are all 5G enabled. There are 4 plans to choose from:

      • iOS: Settings -> Mobile Data -> Mobile Data Options -> Voice & Data -> 5G Auto
      • Android: Settings -> Connections -> Mobile networks -> Network mode -> 5G/ LTE/ 3G/ 2G (auto connect) 
  • Who and how to be eligible? Where to sign-up?
    • All consumers aged 18 years old and above.
    • Applicable for new registration with a new number;
    • Switching from other local service providers (port-in);
    • Change from Hotlink Prepaid to Hotlink Postpaid
    • Hotlink Online Store. Simply click HERE to proceed.
    • Walk-in to Maxis Stores. Find out the nearest Maxis Stores at HERE.

    Or, if you are an existing Hotlink Postpaid subscriber looking to upgrade your plan, use Hotlink app (version 5.10.0 and above). Steps as below:

    Hotlink app – myhotlink -> Account -> Click “Hotlink Postpaid” -> Click “Upgrade Plan”

  • For each new Hotlink Postpaid line, you are required to pay either one of the below:

    1 month of your monthly commitment plan Deposit of RM150

    Applicable for Malaysian. Example for Hotlink Postpaid 30, RM30 will be charged as an advance payment. The advance payment will be used to offset against the first month’s invoice and any extra will be carried forward to the following month.

    Applicable for non-Malaysian. The deposit will be refunded upon closure of your Hotlink Postpaid account.

  • Don’t worry, your prepaid balance will be credited to your Hotlink Postpaid account and reflected in your first bill.

  • Yes, your 5G Internet quota will be enhanced automatically between 18 - 29 Jan 2024. This upgrade is automatic, permanent, and free, with no price change to your monthly commitment.

    • Hotlink Postpaid 30: 2GB (4G) to 2GB (4G/5G) + 2GB (5G only)
    •  Hotlink Postpaid 60: 50GB (4G) to 50GB (4G/5G) + 50GB (5G only)
    • Hotlink Postpaid 70: 70GB (4G/5G) + 35GB (5G only) to 70GB (4G/5G) + 70GB (5G only)

  • The Hotlink Postpaid 40 plan will be 5G enabled with no change to its data quota. We have introduced Hotlink Postpaid 45 plan with 2x more quota than Hotlink Postpaid 40, you may change to Hotlink Postpaid 45 plan to enjoy better value.

  • Your monthly commitment fee will be pro-rated; however, you will be given the full internet quota allocation from the first month and unlimited calls and SMS too. You will be charged the full monthly commitment fee from month 2 onwards.

  • It is applicable to domestic mobile/fixed ON-net & OFF-net usage (excluding video calls, calls to chargeable 1-300/1700/600 numbers and calls to TM100 and 121 numbers).The available Internet passes are as follows:

    There are no limits to the unlimited calls and SMS, however customers are subjected to Maxis’ Fair Usage Policy and we reserve the rights to interrupt, bar, suspend or restrict the service if the customer’s usage appears unusual. Please refer to the rate plan’s Terms & Conditions for further details.

  •   Unlimited Calls and SMS Pre-allocated Internet Quota
    Hotlink Postpaid 30, 45 and 60 No, for domestic use only. No, for domestic use only

  • Yes, we don’t block any tethering/ sharing hotspot with other devices.

  • Yes, you can change or upgrade to any other Hotlink or Maxis Postpaid Plans. However, if you have an existing device contract on Hotlink Postpaid 60 / Hotlink Postpaid 70, you must terminate your contract and pay the penalty to move over to lower Hotlink Postpaid plan.

    Calculation of the penalty as follow:

    1. Penalty Amount = [(Recommended Retail Price (RRP) – Upfront Cost) x (Remaining month(s) ÷ 24 months)] + RM 100
  • No, it will refresh monthly upon completion of your bill cycle

  • No. There is no supplementary line plan for Hotlink Postpaid.

  • When you hit 60% and 100% of your allocated Internet usage, you will receive an SMS informing you of your usage at that moment. SMS notification is near-real time.

  • Upon depletion of your quota, you can continue surfing WITHOUT ADDITIONAL CHARGES at a reduced speed. Alternatively, you may purchase additional Internet passes via Easy Menu *100# or the Hotlink app at https://hotlink.page.link/get-data

    ii. For those who have subscribed to the 5GB/month @ RM25 recurring pass which we have stopped offering it, you may still use while remain subscribed. If you decide to remove the pass, you can no longer subscribe to it.
