Terms & Conditions

Service Specific Terms & Conditions (“SSTC”) – Hotlink Prepaid Unlimited

Version [9th September 2022]

    1. The Plan: Hotlink Prepaid Unlimited.
    2. You: Person(s) signing up this Plan.
    3. The Plan(s) and Service(s) is subject to the General Terms & Conditions ("GTC") at https://www.hotlink.com.my/en/terms-conditions/hotlink/personal-hotlink-prepaid/general/general-tnc/, Service Specific Terms & Conditions ("SSTC"), Maxis Fair Usage Policy and any other applicable terms and conditions, all at www.maxis.com.my/FUP and www.hotlink.com.my/tnc
    4. Capitalised terms herein have the same meaning as defined in the GTC.
    5. Any conflict or inconsistency between this SSTC, the GTC and Summary Terms and Conditions ("STC"), shall be construed in the following order of precedence: (a) SSTC; (b) GTC; and (c) STC.
    6. We reserve the rights without liability, to revise this SSTC, Plan(s) and our pricing. Where reasonably practicable, we will give you reasonable advance notice of such changes and all previous versions of our user guides or leaflets will be superseded. You accept you are responsible for regularly reviewing information on the Plan(s), Service(s) at www.hotlink.com.my/tnc, including changes to the Agreement. Your continued use of the Service(s) and/or Plan(s) (after the Effective Date of any revision/change to the terms and conditions of Agreement, Services and/or Plan(s)) shall constitute unconditional acceptance by you of such revisions/changes and you shall be bound by the same. If you do not accept such revisions/changes, you may discontinue using the Plan(s) and/or the Service(s), failing which you are assumed to have accepted the changes.
    1. The Plan is only eligible for new Hotlink activations customers, Mobile Number Portability (MNP) customers or customers requesting for Service Migration from prepaid.
    2. You are ineligible for this Plan if you owe us any payments.
    3. The Plan is inapplicable to you if you are a commercial user and/or bulk subscriber.
    1. Your top-up amount for prepaid services will determine the number of active-days to make calls, SMS, and access to the internet (“Active Period”).
    2. After the Active Period ends, you can only receive incoming calls and SMS' until the next top up or 50 days from the end of Active Period, whichever is earlier (“Credit Grace Period”). During the Credit Grace Period, all or any balance from unutilised credit and/or mobile internet passes will be suspended from usage until the next top-up.
    3. You must top-up to resume full Service(s). Failure to top-up before the end of the Credit Grace Period will result in line termination.
    4. Unlimited calls are applicable to calls to Maxis network, other telco networks and fixed lines.
    1. All existing Hotlink Prepaid customers of any prepaid plan can request for a change of plan from your existing prepaid rate plan to this Plan via Hotlink App. You will be charged a fee of RM2.00 upon successful change to Hotlink Prepaid Unlimited Plan.
    2. Upon successful change of rate plan to this Plan, the following shall apply:
      • your account lifecycle active period will be replaced with 30 days from the date of the successful change, and the Credit Grace Period will be reset to 50 days; and
      • all existing domestic Mobile Internet Passes subscriptions from your previous plan will be terminated.
    3. Mobile Internet Passes, Hot Tickets or Reload Plus from other rate plans are not applicable to this Plan.

    1. All Unlimited Internet Passes are subjected to Maxis Fair Usage Policy at https://www.maxis.com.my/en/terms-conditions/personal/general/maxis-fair-usage-policy/.     2. All internet quota are at capped speed of up to 3Mbps, 6Mbps and 18Mbps respectively.
    3. All Unlimited Internet Passes are non-auto renewable.
    4. All Unlimited Internet Passes do not allow tethering of internet usage to other devices, except for pass numbers 1, 2 and 3 per the table of clause 17.
    5. Unlimited hotspot for pass numbers 1, 2 and 3 per the table of clause 17 is a promotional offer on “as available” basis.
    6. All Unlimited Internet Passes are strictly for personal usage only.
    7. Unlimited Voice Call stated under clause 17 includes domestic fixed landlines, mobile lines, emergency numbers and 1800 numbers. Charges may apply to calls made to special numbers (eg. 1300/121/20018).
    1. If you subscribe to any Unlimited Internet Passes as stated in clause 18 above, you are entitled to purchase the Add-On Internet Passes set out below:

    1. Add-On Internet Passes that offers unlimited internet quota are subjected to Maxis Fair Usage Policy.
    2. All Add-On Internet Passes are non-auto renewable.

    1. You may also purchase hard bundled SIM Card with Unlimited Internet Pass, as detailed in the table below.

      • Unlimited Internet and Calls 7-day (3Mbps) has to be redeemed within the validity period.
      • Customers must be within Active Period to be able to utilize the Unlimited Internet and Calls 7-day (3Mbps) pass.
    1. We reserve the rights at any time without being liable to you or any third party to interrupt, bar, suspend, restrict the Plan and Service(s) for such time as we see fit or terminate, discontinue or disconnect the Plan and Service(s) if your usage:-
      • shows excessive usage or placing unusual burdens on the network;
      • is for unlawful activities or for suspected fraudulent activities;
      • is not in accordance with the Maxis Fair Usage Policy (www.maxis.com.my/FUP); and/or
      • is for commercial/non-personal purposes.
