What is Hotlink SOS Internet Offers?
SOS Internet offers is a service which will grant you a mobile internet pass when you are in need.
Who is eligible to use the SOS Internet service?
In order to receive the SOS Internet offer, you must meet the below requirement:
- Tenure 1 month and above
- Not applicable for Tablet, MVNO and Broadband plans
- Based on SOS Internet eligibility criteria (eg. Top up and repayment history etc)
Will my validity days be extended when I receive the SOS Internet passes from Hotlink?
No, validity will not be extended.
How do I request for an SOS Internet?
You will be offered when your mobile internet quota low. Alternatively, you may perform an SOS Internet request via *100# or Red App.
How many times can I request for SOS Internet?
You can request as many times as you require, as long as you pay back the outstanding balance and service fee.
How do I pay Hotlink back after receiving the SOS Internet amount?
Upon subsequent top up, Hotlink will take back the credit value (RM) granted as stated within the offer SMS.
How will I know that Hotlink has taken the loan amount from my credit balance?
You will receive an SMS notification that the SOS service has deducted the amount from your balance.
Do I have Auto-Credit for SOS Internet?
No, Auto-Credit is only available for SOS Top Up.
Why is my friend getting offered RM10 while I only get RM3?
The amount will vary per subscriber, as the amount granted is based on their eligibility determined by Hotlink.
Why is my SOS Outstanding Balance not being deducted when I do a PostAid Top Up?
SOS Outstanding Balance will only be deducted when a top-up is done from the following methods
- Physical Topup Ticket
- Bank Reload
- MaxisPay Reload
- Hotlink Website Reload
- Hotlink App Reload
Can I have both SOS Internet & SOS Top Up (credit) at the same time?
No, all subs can have only one (1) SOS offers at one time.
I was given a SOS Internet offer, and I replied “YES”, then is fulfilled with SOS Top Up offer instead. Why?

What happens when I fully utilized my SOS Internet quota?
Once you have fully utilize your quota, you will still be able to continue browsing at a reduced speed with NO additional charges until your pass expires.
Can I have SOS Internet and Daily/Weekly/Monthly pass together?

Yes, you can have SOS Internet together with a Daily/Weekly/Monthly pass. The pass which will expire first will be utilized first.
How do I check my Mobile Internet usage?
Dial *100# > Internet Passes > Internet Passes Status to check your Mobile Internet Pass subscriptions. You can have multiple subscriptions at any one time, which will all be displayed under ‘Internet Passes Status’. Dial '01' for 'Next Page' if you have multiple Mobile Internet Pass subscriptions. I was previously able to use SOS Internet. Why am I suddenly no longer eligible to use this service anymore?
Other than requirement for duration of Hotlink account, eligibility to use SOS Internet service is also based on other criteria which may change from time to time; main criteria includes top up and repayment history. Do continue to top up with Hotlink to be eligible to use SOS Top Up or SOS Internet in future.
