Here’s how it works:
- Service & Device Bundle: Get a wide range of phones below the recommended retail price.
- Monthly Bill: You will be billed at the end of each cycle for your postpaid plan and device.
- Payment Options: Pay online, via banking, or through auto-debit.
- Commitment Period: Typically 12, 24, or 36 months.
- Credit Check: Required for approval.

Under the Hotlink Postpaid Normal Device Contract, you are generally required to pay:
- Device Price (Device Upfront Payment): Starting from as low as RM0 (this price is lower than the recommended retail price).
- Device Advance Payment: A refundable deposit credited back over your contract term (12, 24, or 36 months).
- Refundable Deposit: For foreigners, a refundable deposit of RM150 may be applicable when signing up for a new line with a device, in addition to the device price and device advance payment.

The Device Upfront Payment is the one-time amount you pay to own your device outright under our Normal Device Contract. This payment:
- Reduces the total device cost (vs. paying the full recommended retail price)
- Is paired with your chosen Hotlink rate plan for ongoing service
- Varies by device model and plan

The Device Advance Payment (DAP) is collected as a token of your commitment, and it will be fully refunded to you as monthly bill rebates over your contract period.
Example: A RM240 DAP on a 24-month plan = RM10 will be credited monthly to your bill. -
You can pay your Hotlink Postpaid bill through:
- Hotlink App or Hotlink Self-Serve Portal
- Online banking (all major Malaysian banks)
- Auto-debit, set up via the Hotlink app or Self-Serve Portal

Signing up is easy! Choose your preferred channel:
You can sign up at any Maxis Store, selected Hotlink dealers, or make things easier by purchasing through the Hotlink Online Store.
In-store: Visit any Maxis Store nationwide for hands-on help
Online: Hotlink Online Store
- Pick your preferred phone model, rate plan, and contract duration, then click ‘Add to cart’.
- Complete the validation via TAC and click ‘Checkout’ to enter your personal and delivery/collection details.
- Acknowledge the terms and conditions, make your payment, and you're done!

Yes, if you meet our credit policy and have a valid passport. A refundable deposit may be required, depending on your customer status with Maxis. Promotions may have different terms and conditions. Applications will be subject to review and approval.

If you terminate your contract early, you can own the device by covering the remaining monthly savings you received. The amount depends on the device upfront payment that you have already paid. There are no additional penalties or hidden fees.
