What is this upgrading about?
Maxis is embarking on a system upgrading exercise to better serve its customers. The exercise will be on 20 October 2020 and may have an impact on selected transactions.
I received an SMS to inform me to top up earlier. What is this about?
The SMS is to notify you to top up and buy Internet passes in advance as we are undertaking a system upgrading from 1.00 am until 8.30 am on 20 October . During this time top up & purchases are not available.
What are the services that are impacted?
During the upgrading, you will not be able to top up and make purchases, from 1.00 am until 8.30 am on 20 October. However, you can still continue to make calls, send SMS & surf the Internet on Hotlink.
Will I be able to use my Hotlink app during this time?
During this time, Hotlink app will be temporarily unavailable for you. Please retry after the upgrading exercise.
Will I be able to subscribe/ pay to content such as Spotify, Netflix, Google Play Store, Apple App Store, Caller Ring Tone, etc. via Maxis Carrier Billing/ Hotlink Credit (whichever is applicable)?
During the upgrades, subscription/ payment to other content will be temporarily unavailable. Please retry after the upgrading exercise.
Will I be able to view/ play the videos/ games that I have subscribed to prior to the upgrade?
Yes, you would still be able to play or view the content that you have subscribed to prior to the upgrade, provided that your subscription is still valid and active.
