Yes, 5G is available in selected countries through partner operators. To experience 5G speeds while abroad, you must meet the following requirements:
- A Hotlink Postpaid 5G plan or a 5G Internet Pass (for Prepaid).
- A valid data roaming pass for a 5G-enabled country.
- A 5G-capable device.
- A 4G LTE SIM card.
- 5G toggled ON in your device settings.
- Connection to a 5G-supported partner network.
Once these requirements are met, your phone will automatically latch onto the 5G network where available.

Using 5G while travelling provides a significantly enhanced experience. When connected to a supported partner operator overseas, your roaming data speeds will be much faster than standard 4G, allowing:

- The page instantly shows all call, SMS, and international data roaming rates.

No, you do not need to pay any additional fee beyond your existing roaming plan or roaming data pass. If the country supports 5G roaming and your plan/device is compatible, you will automatically enjoy 5G connectivity at no extra cost.

5G may not work for several reasons, including:
- The country or operator does not support 5G roaming.
- You are not connected to a preferred 5G partner network.
- Your plan does not include 5G access.
- 5G is disabled in your device settings.
- Your device is not 5G-capable.
- You are in a low-coverage area.
- You are using an outdated or non-4G SIM card.
Manually switching operators may resolve the issue in some destinations. -

Effective 1 July 2026, Singapore has upgraded its 5G networks. This has affected 5G roaming availability for some operators, including us.

Yes, your roaming service will continue to work as usual. If 5G is unavailable, your phone will automatically connect to 4G/LTE where coverage is available.

This is due to recent network changes in Singapore affecting 5G roaming support. It is not related to your device.
