• What is a Data Roam Pass?

  Data Roam Pass allows Hotlink subscribers to access internet via mobile data whilst travelling overseas. Here is the list of Data Roam Passes available:-

  For single country usage:

  1. 1 day pass: ASEAN RM10, Other countries RM38
  2. 3 days pass : Singapore RM12, Thailand RM12, Indonesia RM12
  3. 7 days pass: Singapore RM20, Thailand RM20, Indonesia RM20

  
  For multiple countries usage:

  1. 3 days pass: ASEAN RM20 (9 countries), Asia Pacific RM30 (16 countries)
  2. 7 days pass: Singapore/Thailand/Indonesia RM20, ASEAN RM30 (9 countries), Asia Pacific RM50 (16 countries), Europe RM50 (33 countries)
  3. 14 days pass: Europe RM70 (33 countries)

• How do I subscribe to a Data Roam Pass?

  1 day Data Roam Pass will be activated automatically if you turn on data roaming abroad and usage up to a pre-set limit so that you will enjoy the best value.

  Alternatively, for a longer stay or better data value, you may buy your preferred data Roam pass via:
  

  1. Hotlink app. 
     • Go to MyHotlink and select Roaming
     • Select preferred country
     • Buy the required pass
        
  2. Easy Menu.
     • Dial *100#
     • Select Intl Roaming
     • Select preferred country
     • Buy the required pass

• Will I be notified on the subscription status?

  Yes, for both manual and auto subscriptions, you will receive an SMS when your pass has been successfully activated. Alternatively, you can check your status by dialing *100#.

• What does the Data Roam Pass offer?

  The pass offers mobile internet browsing when a subscriber is travelling abroad. Upon exhaustion of the quota for the respective pass, you will be able to continue browsing at a reduced internet speed.

• If I’ve used all my Data Roam Pass quota, can I still do data roaming without any additional charges?

  Yes. You can still continue browsing without any data charges even though you have used all your Data Roam Pass quota. However, your internet usage speed will be reduced until the pass expires.

• Can I restore my internet speed upon finished up all my existing Data Roam Pass quota?

  Yes. You can restore your internet usage speed by subscribing to a new Data Roam Pass. To subscribe ,dial *100# > International Roaming > Country > Buy data pass. View the list of countries here.

• How many Data Roam Pass can I buy at one time?

  There is no limit to the number of passes you can buy; the pass(es) are stackable.

• I have purchased 1 Day Data Roam Pass in Singapore. Can I use the same pass in Thailand on the same day?

  No, 1 Day Data Roam Pass is country specific. If you are traveling to multiple countries a day, you will need to activate Data Roam Pass and browse on the respective preferred operators in each country.

• I am roaming in Australia and I am not getting any romaing pass. Do I need to activate my Data Roam pass manually?

  We have a few options of Data Roam  pass you to choose from. You will need to choose and activate the Data Roam pass which suits your usage manually.

• I have purchased long validity Data Roam Pass. Can I use the same pass in more than 1 country?

  Below is the list of long validity Data Roam pass that covers more than 1 countries:-
  

  1. ASEAN 3 day/7 day pass: BRUNEI, CAMBODIA, INDONESIA, LAOS, MYANMAR, PHILIPPINES, SINGAPORE, THAILAND, VIETNAM
     
  2. Asia Pacific 3 day/7 day pass : AUSTRALIA, CHINA, HONG KONG, INDIA, JAPAN, KOREA, KUWAIT, KYRGYZSTAN, MACAO, NEW ZEALAND, PAKISTAN, QATAR, SAUDI ARABIA, SRI LANKA, TAIWAN, TAJIKISTAN
     
  3. • Can I use Data Roam Pass in Malaysia?

  No, Data Roam Pass is exclusively for international roaming ONLY.

• How can I check the pass validity or usage?

  You can check both the pass validity and data usage by dialing *100# > International Roaming > Check Status.

• If I use data roaming in a country without Data Roam Pass, how much will I be charged?

  You will be charged pay-per-use rates at RM38/MB.
