Service Specific Terms & Conditions ("SSTC") - Hotlink Postpaid 30, 45, 60 and 70

Version [18 January 2024]

    1. The Plan(s): Hotlink Postpaid 30, Hotlink Postpaid 45, Hotlink Postpaid 60 and/or Hotlink Postpaid 70.
    2. You: Person(s) signing up for the Plan(s) from 18 January 2024 (“Commencement Date”).
    3. The use of the Plan(s) and Service(s) is subject to the General Terms & Conditions (“GTC”) at, this Service Specific Terms & Conditions (“SSTC”), Maxis Fair Usage Policy and any other applicable terms and conditions, all at
    4. Capitalised terms herein have the same meaning as defined in the GTC.
    5. Any conflict or inconsistency between this SSTC, the GTC and Summary Terms and Conditions (“STC”), shall be construed in the following order of precedence: (a) SSTC; (b) GTC; and (c) STC.
    6. We reserve the rights without liability, to revise this SSTC, the Plan(s) and our pricing. Where reasonably practicable, we will give you reasonable advance notice of such changes and all previous versions of our user guides or leaflets will be superseded. You accept you are responsible for regularly reviewing information on the Plan(s) and Service(s)at, including changes to the Agreement. If you do not accept such revisions/changes, you are required to terminate the Plan and/or the use of the Services under the Plan in accordance with this SSTC by giving us notice within 28 days from the Effective Date failing which you are assumed to have accepted the changes. Save where terminated based on the foregoing, any continued use of the Service(s), and/or the Plan (after the Effective Date of any revision/change to the terms and conditions of the Agreement, Services, and/or Plan) shall constitute unconditional acceptance by you of such revisions/changes and you shall be bound by the same.
    1. The Plan(s) is only eligible for individuals aged 18 and above.
    2. This Plan(s) is available for new and existing Hotlink Postpaid customers, Mobile Number Portability (MNP) customers or customers requesting for change rate plan from Hotlink Postpaid 40.
    3. You are ineligible for this Plan(s) if you owe us any payments.
    4. The Plan(s) is inapplicable to you if you are a commercial user and/or bulk subscriber.
    5. We reserve the right to alter the eligibility criteria at any time. 
    1. The monthly fee and Charges for the mobile internet package allocation, voice and SMS details are stated in Appendix A and also published on our official website at, which may be updated by us from time to time. Charges published are exclusive of any applicable taxes. 
    1. A deposit of RM150 is chargeable to non-Malaysians or foreigners subscribing for the Plan(s).
    2. Non-payment for any one of the Plan(s) may result in suspension or barring of all the Services until the outstanding amount is paid.
    1. You acknowledge and accept, for the voice and SMS’ allocated with the Plan(s), the unlimited minutes and SMS': 
      1. applies to domestic mobile/fixed ON-net usage (Maxis to Maxis calls and SMS’) & OFF-net usage (calls and SMS’ from Maxis to other Service Provider) for the Plan (excluding, video calls, calls to numbers with special charges e.g. 1-300/1-700/600, 121, TM100, 1MOCC, 02-prefix numbers for IDD calls to Singapore & 080-prefix numbers for border calls to Brunei).
      2. are for standard person-to-person calls or texts and not for any commercial and/ or non-personal usage; and
      3. is NOT meant for multiple simultaneous calling, conference calling (unless you are subscribed to the conference calling service with Maxis), re-supply, call centre usage, telemarketing, bulk messaging, application-to-person communication, continuously call forwarding, auto-dialing, machine-to-machine communication (including by using your SIM card in any other devices), Cellular Trunking Units (CTUs), or any other activity we consider to be non-standard usage.
    1. For internet data allocated with the Plan(s), you acknowledge and accept that: 
      1. You will experience internet data browsing at reduced speeds and with no excess charges if any usage exceeds the allocated mobile internet data;
      2.  The mobile internet data allocated within the Plan(s) is for domestic usage and Roam-Like-Home (as referred in Clause 18) only;
      3.  You may purchase one-time passes to add more data (non-recurring) BEFORE you exceed your mobile internet data allocation. Such upgrade is available through your UMB, Hotlink app or Hotlink self-serve channel, all accessible through your Mobile Device or other available Devices or channels as we may inform you from time to time.
      4. You can opt for upgrades or downgrades of the Plan(s) at any Maxis stores or call our Contact Centres (123) from your mobile;
      5. If you upgrade or downgrade your existing Plan(s) to another Plan(s), your monthly commitment fee will be pro-rated against your billing cycle date. You will be charged the full commitment fee from the second month onwards but with full mobile internet package allocation from the first month.
    1. The rates outlined in Appendix A do not account for usages while on an overseas roaming network. Whilst roaming overseas, the prevailing data roaming charges at apply.
    1. Roam-Like-Home is exclusive for Hotlink Postpaid 70 and activation of Hotlink Postpaid 70 plan will automatically activate ‘Roam-Like-Home’ service that allows you to roam once the data usage is detected on Maxis’ overseas roaming network in any ‘Roam-Like-Home’ countries such as in Singapore, Thailand and Indonesia (“Roam-Like-Home Eligible Countries”).
    2.  ‘Roam-Like-Home’ service in Roam-Like-Home Eligible Countries is without any charges.
    3. Mobile Internet data in Roam-Like-Home Eligible Countries is based on the monthly mobile internet package allocated for Hotlink Postpaid 70 plan.
    4.  If mobile internet package allocation is fully utilized while roaming under ‘Roam-Like-Home’, you will be notified via SMS on the same and the mobile internet speed will be throttled. You may purchase additional data roaming passes via Hotlink app or by dialing *100# to continue roaming at high-speed.
    5. ‘Roam-Like-Home’ service does not include voice calls, SMS, call divert and call forwarding. Any of these usages will incur additional charges. Please refer to SSTC – Roaming at for more information.
    6. Maxis reserves the rights and discretion to determine, modify, change, suspend or terminate the “Roam-Like-Home” service under this Plan from time to time.
    1. In order to use 5G service(s) under this Plan(s), you must: -
      1. have 5G capable, supported and enabled Mobile Device to access/ utilize the 5G network.  Please check the latest list of 5G capable, supported and enabled Mobile Device at which list may be updated from time to time. A 5G software update from the device manufacturer may be required which will not be the responsibility of Maxis;
      2. located within the 5G network coverage area. A map of 5G network coverage area can be found at;  and
      3. have a 4G LTE enabled SIM. You may check your SIM status by dialing this code *100*8*5#" from your phone.
    2. The 5G service(s) is only available within the 5G network area via use of a 5G capable, supported and enabled Mobile Device. When you are located outside the 5G network coverage area, you’ll automatically switch to any of our other available networks.
    1. Maxis does not represent, warrant, undertake and/or guarantee that the 5G service(s) will be: -
      1. provided without errors;
      2. uninterrupted; and/or
      3. that your experience of the existing services which you are subscribing from Maxis on our other available networks will not be impacted in an adverse manner,
      and that Maxis will and is able to correct or rectify all or any part of the errors, interruption or such adverse impact to the existing services. You understand and acknowledge that the services offered pursuant to the 5G service(s) may be subject to limitations, delays and other problems inherent in communication facilities and network and or the third party 5G network, including the internet and Maxis shall not be responsible to you and/or any third party for any delays, delivery, failures, or other damage or loss resulting from or in connection with such problems.
    2. Without derogating from the disclaimers and limitation of liability under the GTC which are applicable to you, Maxis makes no representation or give any condition, indemnity, warranty, guarantee, whether express or implied, about whether the services offered pursuant to the 5G service(s) will operate and be compatible with any Content, Equipment, hardware or software or that it will be compatible with the national 5G wholesale network. You acknowledge and agree that Maxis relies on one or more third party service providers in relation to the 5G service(s) (including its availability and continuity) and as such, to the fullest extent permitted by law, Maxis excludes any liability and shall not be liable to you and/or any third parties whether in contract, tort or otherwise for any loss, damage or liability incurred or sustained by you and/or any third party (including loss of revenue or loss of services or connectivity) caused by or in relation to any delay, failure, breakdown, inability to use or access, interruption or disruption by any of our third party service providers including Maxis’ third party service provider of the national  5G wholesale network or in respect of interruption or adverse impact to existing services subscribed from Maxis arising from your purchase of the 5G service(s).
    3. Notwithstanding anything to the contrary in this SSTC, you acknowledge and agree that: -
      1. you have not relied on any representation, warranty, statement or similar made by Maxis’ third party service provider of the national 5G wholesale network in connection with your decision to use or the manner in which you will make use of the 5G service(s) including where such 5G service(s) is provided to you as part of products or services (or bundled products or services) by Maxis;
      2. you are solely responsible for your decision to use, and the manner in which you will make use of, the 5G service(s) and does so at your own risk (including where the 5G service(s) is used in connection with the preservation of life or property);
      3. you are solely responsible for making your own decisions on appropriate alternative redundancy, connectivity and data solutions in the event the 5G service(s) is unavailable, disrupted or operate with error;
      4. the 5G service(s) will not necessarily operate without error and will not always be available;
      5. Maxis’ third party service provider of the national 5G wholesale network does not owe you any duty of care or similar duty and you release Maxis’ third party service provider of the national 5G wholesale network from any liability arising from your use of the 5G service(s); and
      6. you must not do anything that may interfere with Maxis’ third party service provider of the national 5G wholesale network and/or connect or knowingly permit any third party to connect any equipment to the 5G network.


    1. We reserve the rights at any time at our sole discretion whether with or without notice to you and without being liable to you and/or any third party, to immediately interrupt, bar, suspend or restrict the Plan (including 5G service(s)) for such time as we see fit, withdraw or terminate, discontinue or disconnect the services including if:
      1. any technical failure occurs in services pursuant to the Network (which includes any network operated by any third party which are connected to Maxis’ network);
      2. the services pursuant to the 5G services(s), our Network or systems are being upgraded, modified or maintained;
      3. your usage shows excessive usage or placing unusual burdens on our Network;
      4. in our determination that the Plan is or may be used by you for unlawful activities or for suspected fraudulent activities;
      5. your usage is not in accordance with the Maxis Fair Usage Policy (at or contrary to any of the terms and conditions of this SSTC and/or the GTC;
      6. is for commercial/non-personal purposes;
      7. where matters beyond our reasonable control prevents us from performing and/ or continuing our obligations this SSTC, the GTC and/or the Maxis Fair Usage Policy;
      8. you have relocated or have been relocated to an area outside the 5G network coverage area; or
      9.  we are required to do so by law, statute, enactment, regulations, code or by any relevant authorities, including the Maxis’ third party service provider of the national 5G wholesale network,
      and where no prior notice is provided, Maxis may to the extent commercially reasonably practicable give you notice of such changes in any form as Maxis deem reasonable or appropriate.
    2. If you change your current rate plan to the new Hotlink Postpaid plan, all promotions/ benefits that you are currently enjoying under your existing rate plan will be forfeited and you will not be able to carry forward any promotions/benefits to your new Hotlink Postpaid plan.
    3. In connection to any Hotlink Postpaid Plan(s) survey, comments, suggestions and/or feedback submitted by you to Maxis, you agree that Maxis may use all comments, suggestions and feedback collected in any manner without restriction or obligation for any purpose, including but not limited to incorporation or implementation of such comments, suggestions and feedback into Maxis’ product or service, to develop, improve and/or evaluate the Plan(s). Except for personal data, no comments, suggestions and/or feedback will be deemed as your confidential information.
    1. Subject to our GTC, a principal line holder may at any time terminate the Plan(s) as follows:
      1. By calling our customer care line at 1-800-82-1123 or dial 123 from your mobile; or
      2. By walking into our Maxis Centres listed on; or
      3. By writing in to

From the Commencement Date, until 30th June 2024 (“Promotion Period”), upon signing up for Hotlink Postpaid 70 plan, you may enjoy RM10 bill rebate (“Rebate”) for a period of six (6) months (“Your Rebate Period”). Rebate will be reflected in your Hotlink postpaid bill from the second (2nd) month onwards.
    2. From the day immediately following the end of Your Rebate Period, your monthly fee and charges will revert back to RM70 per month for Hotlink Postpaid 70 plan.
